**Overview:**

Bookkeep supports posting to Sage Intacct using various journal entry types. This flexibility allows you to categorize transactions in a way that best fits your accounting processes.

**Common Journal Entry Types:**

The most commonly used journal entry types by Bookkeep in Sage Intacct include:

- **Sales Journal** – Typically used for recording revenue transactions from sales.
- **Cash Receipts Journal** – Used for recording cash inflows and customer payments.

**How Bookkeep Handles Journal Entry Types:**

By default, Bookkeep posts transactions as a **Sales Journal** type, which covers the majority of standard use cases. However, we understand that some businesses may need to post to other journal types.

**Customizing Your Posting Type:**

If you would like to post transactions to a journal type other than the Sales Journal (for example, a Cash Receipts Journal or another specialized journal), our team can assist with setting this up in your Bookkeep integration.

**Next Steps:**

To configure a different journal entry type, please reach out to our support team at [support@bookkeep.com](mailto:support@bookkeep.com). We’ll guide you through the setup process to ensure your transactions are posted correctly in Sage Intacct.
